OPA: No deficiencies in Mount Carmel’s first audit as charter school

Independent auditors Ernst & Young LLP did not identify any deficiencies in Mount Carmel Academy Charter School’s internal control over financial reporting and on compliance that they considered to be material weaknesses in fiscal year 2024, according to a report that the Office of Public Accountability released Monday.
Fiscal 2024 was the first year that OPA has overseen Mount Carmel’s financial audit. It became a charter school in September 2023.
