We are very pleased to inform you that the Mount Carmel Alumni and Endowment Foundation have again directed that MCS not raise Tuition Rates or Registration Fees for school year 2019-2020. MCS has not raised tuition or registration in years and continues to strive to provide the best education on Guam at the most affordable costs possible.
Since 2007, we have enjoyed an annual enrollment of between 350-550 students and our MCS Familia continues to grow! In order to accommodate our expanding student body we will use this summer break to continue our extensive capital improvement development made possible by the generous contribution from the YSRAEL FAMILY. Phase I Summer renovations include the removal and replacement of the Phoenix Hall, Music Academy, & Chamorro Lecture Hall roof and ceilings (original building); the Dance Studio will be extended to create one large combination Dance Studio and Martial Arts Dojo; construction of walkway extensions between the elementary school and Chamorro Lecture Hall/Phoenix Hall; removal and relocation/placement of all exposed/hanging electrical lines underground; refurbishing, repairing or replacing railings; complete painting of all MCS buildings and more!!! The second floor has been and continues to house our Chamorro Lecture Hall and Music Academy; no other school on Guam compares with MCS’ Chamorro Language and Music programs. As a result of this large capital improvement development, offers the most complete, progressive school curriculum for students in elementary and middle school. In addition to rigorous and competitive instruction in areas of Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies, we are the only Guam school to offer full mandatory courses in Religion, Music, Chamorro Language, Physical Education, and Art. As enrollment increases, we look forward to Phase II renovations which will provide additional upgrades and repairs to the remainder of the campus. These capital improvements have an estimated value of nearly half a million dollars!!! This investment is greatly needed and will contribute enormously to our continued development and improvement of MCS facilities.
MCS will continue to work towards upgrading and improving classrooms and ensuring smaller class sizes for every grade –Pre-School through 8th grade. MCS has added new Promethean Boards and lap tops to middle and elementary classrooms. We hope to add to our multi-media resources (audio and visual).
